myProtocols ("the App") is developed by Strahinja Krstic ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
Summary
- Your protocols and execution history are stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account
- We collect anonymous analytics to improve the App
- We collect crash reports to fix bugs
- We do not sell your data
- We do not have access to your protocol content
Information We Collect
Data You Create
Protocol data: The protocols you create, including names, steps, timers, and settings, are stored locally on your device and synced to your personal iCloud account. This data is not transmitted to us. We cannot see your protocols.
Execution history: Records of your protocol completions are stored locally and in your iCloud account. We do not have access to this data.
Data We Collect Automatically
Analytics data: We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics, including:
- App opens and session duration
- Features used (e.g., protocol created, protocol completed)
- General device information (device type, iOS version)
- Country-level location (not precise location)
This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. We use it to understand how people use the App and to improve it.
Crash data: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports when the App encounters an error. This includes:
- Device type and iOS version
- App state at time of crash
- Stack traces and error logs
This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash data does not include your protocol content.
Data We Do Not Collect
- Your name or email (unless you contact us)
- Precise location
- Protocol content or names
- Health data
- Contacts or photos
- Browsing history
How We Use Your Information
We use analytics and crash data to:
- Fix bugs and improve App stability
- Understand which features are useful
- Make decisions about future development
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Data Storage and Security
Your data: Protocol data and execution history are stored using Apple's iCloud infrastructure, protected by your Apple ID. We do not have access to this data.
Our data: Anonymous analytics are stored on PostHog's servers. Crash reports are stored on Google's Firebase servers. Both services maintain industry-standard security practices.
Data Retention
Your data: Remains in your iCloud account until you delete it. Deleting the App removes local data; iCloud data can be managed through iOS Settings.
Analytics data: Retained for up to 24 months, then automatically deleted.
Crash data: Retained for up to 90 days.
Your Rights
You can:
- Delete your data by deleting protocols within the App or uninstalling the App
- Opt out of analytics by disabling "Share Analytics" in iOS Settings > Privacy > Analytics
- Request information about data we hold by contacting us
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or App Store update notes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
